People are being urged to store drinking water in light of adverse weather conditions currently affecting Fiji.

Water Authority of Fiji CEO, Barry Omundson says their teams are working to maintain good water supply throughout the country however the current weather conditions may affect their systems and is urging Fijians to be prepared for emergencies.

He says people should also boil all drinking water before consumption as an added precaution.

Omundson says water carting trucks are on standby and will be deployed as needed to impacted areas, with high priority given to hospitals.
