Leader of the People’s Alliance Sitiveni Rabuka

A call has been made by the Leader of the People’s Alliance Sitiveni Rabuka to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to stop playing hide and seek and announce the election date.

In a joint press conference with NFP, Rabuka says let the people know, that is their right.

He further says they challenge Bainimarama and Sayed-Khaiyum to put their leadership to the democratic test.

NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says make no mistake - together as a mighty force, the NFP and People’s Alliance will deliver a resounding victory and form a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

He adds they are leaders of two parties who are committed to genuinely working together in the national interest.

Based on the Constitution, the last date the general election can take place is 9th January 2023.
