State asks for more time in case of man who trespassed at PM's residence

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has asked for more time in the case of Mokani farmer, Waisea Naitini who was charged with trespassing at Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka's residence on June 21st.

The case will be called again on August 4th.

State lawyer Yelena Sautu has asked for more time as they haven't received the Police docket.

Legal Aid lawyer, Lanieta Gonewai who is representing Naitini did not object to more time.

Waisea Naitini appeared before Magistrate Charles Ratakele this afternoon.

Naitini's bail has been extended.
