Sri Sathya Sai Global Council donates ambulance to Tavua Medical Team

The Sri Sathya Sai Global Council has donated an ambulance to the Tavua Medical Team at the Nadarivatu Health Centre, significantly improving emergency medical response times and ensuring safer care for rural communities in the region.

Minister for Health, Dr Atonio Rabici Lalabalavu, officially handed over a refurbished ambulance to the medical team at the Health Centre.

He emphasizes that the ambulance, valued at approximately $185,000, is specially built to navigate the tough, hilly terrain under the sub-division and will cover the health facilities within the sub-division, such as Nadarivatu Health Centre and other healthcare facilities in this division.

He adds that this handover marks another important step forward in strengthening our health service delivery at the community level.

Lalabalavu also reminded the drivers to take pride in their role and ensure that these ambulances are operated safely, responsibly, and maintained to high standards.
