Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni has ruled that she will not refer a matter of privilege to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee filed by SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu against Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama concerning an incident in a committee room in parliament during the lunch break yesterday.
Doctor Luveni says these comments were not made during the parliament sitting or parliamentary committee meeting.
Doctor Luveni says the comments made against the Speaker by a parliamentarian outside parliament is a different issue.
Leader of Opposition Ro Teimumu Kepa tried to raise an issue about the ruling, however, Doctor Luveni stressed that she will not allow any comments regarding her ruling.
