Speaker asks Biman Prasad to withdraw witchdoctor comment

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad was asked to withdraw his comments in parliament after he said that he believes that some government members are seeing a lot of witchdoctors.

Prasad made the comments while responding to Health Minister, Rosy Akbar’s ministerial statement on Non Communicable Diseases.

FijiFirst MP, Samuela Vunivalu then asked the Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni if she could direct Prasad to withdraw his comments.

Prasad said that this was only a light-hearted comment.
