Some elevated parts of Suva that are being supplied water by the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant are now facing water disruptions.

The Water Authority of Fiji says there is no timeframe on when water supply will normalise as the reservoir levels are low.

WAF says the turbidity levels are high in the raw water from the Waimanu Pumping Station and this is causing low production at the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant.

When asked on when water supply will normalise as people have to practice proper hygiene and have to always wash hands with soap and water due to the threat of COVID-19, the Authority says they cannot give a timeframe on when supply will normalise.

It says this is subject to the clearing of the current weather condition.
