Small countries to have strong voice in climate matters – Danish Princess
Danish Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth with USP Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr Jito Vanualailai

The Danish Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth wants small countries to have a strong voice in global climate matters.

She highlighted this while visiting the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, this afternoon.

Her visit to Fiji is to focus on the destruction and evacuations in the wake of climate change, and how the health care system works to protect women and girls in vulnerable situations.

She was accompanied by the Minister for Development of Denmark.

The Princess says they had engaged in a fruitful talonoa session with the students of USP.

The students discussed some of the issues they face when it comes to climate change in the Pacific.
