Former Melbourne Storm and Australian rugby league legendary fullback Billy Slater is predicting that the NRL Grand Final on Sunday will be nice and close.

He told 9News that his prediction is that Storm will beat the Panthers 24-18.

Slater predicts that Storm captain Cameron Smith will get the Clive Churchill Medal which is the award given to the player judged to be man-of-the-match in the NRL final.

Melbourne Storm will meet the Penrith Panthers in the NRL Grand Final at 8.30pm Sunday.
