Malolo drew first blood through a try from Tomasi Tawake, but Naitasiri responded with a try to Veniasi Vosawale to lead 7-5.

Malolo struck back but their lead was spoiled again by Naitasiri as they scored another converted try through Ilaisa Bete.

Naitasiri led 12-10 at halftime.

Malolo rallied in the second half to score another four tries from Esala Nalobo, Peniasi Ratu, Josefa Tamata and Douglas Daveta.

Naitasiri did not give up as they continued to put pressure on Malolo and it paid off as they scored two tries from Sakaraia Sovakalou and captain Jone Naqiri.

Naitasiri were penalised with 5 minutes left on the clock, giving Malolo another chance stretch their lead.

Douglas stepped up and converted the penalty making it 41-26 at full time.

Malolo Captain Aporosa Tabulala dedicated their win to the late Esala Nauga, and acknowledged their supporters for turning up in numbers to support the boys.

He says it was through God's guidance that they won the Skipper Cup title.
