Six in custody over $1M watch theft
Six people including three males and three females have been taken into custody after they were allegedly involved in stealing a watch worth one million dollars from a villa in Pacific Harbor.

Police confirm the incident took place sometime between the 10th January and the 13th of this month when the owner of the villa was away to drop his family at the Nadi International Airport.

It is alleged that three men broke into the villa and walked away with a safe consisting of $54,000 cash and a wrist watch worth $1 million Fijian dollars.

The good news for the owner is that Police have recovered the wrist watch and some cash.

Two of the suspects were employed as gardeners at the villa.
Police say three other female suspects allegedly spent some money in a shopping spree in Lautoka.

A 47-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft and is expected to be produced at the Navua Magistrates Court today.

Five other people are currently being questioned.
