Fiji has received further support in its battle to combat COVID-19 as the Singapore Government donated two shipping containers of relief items such as N95 masks and hand sanitizers.

During the handover, Singapore's Non-Resident High Commissioner to Fiji Seet Cheng says they try in the best possible ways to help other countries and this is a small token of their help.

Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has thanked Singapore for the assistance and says the surgical masks and hand sanitizers will go a long way.

Sayed-Khaiyum also says Singapore's open-source code enabled Digital Fiji's careFIJI system which helped save Fijian lives from COVID-19.

He says they look forward to working with Cheng to strengthen the Fiji-Singapore friendship and work together towards a new normal of trade and travel between the two nations.
