Significant drop in gas and fuel prices from today

The significant drop in gas and fuel prices officially comes into effect from today.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission CEO, Joel Abraham says the price of a 12kg cylinder of gas drops by $8.01 and the price is now $29.41.

The cost of a 13kg cylinder is now $31.86. The previous price was $40.53.

The price of a 4.5kg cylinder has dropped by $3 and the cost is now $11.03.

It has also been announced that the price for unleaded fuel has dropped by 14 cents per litre from $1.80 to $1.66 a litre while the diesel price has dropped from $1.67 to $1.54 per litre.

There is also a huge reduction in kerosene prices as a litre now costs 91 cents. The previous price was $1.08.

Pre-mix fuel drops by 14 cents from $1.43 to $1.29.
