Hard work has paid off for the Sigatoka Methodist College Under 16 girls side as they defeated Naitasiri Secondary School 12-10 in the final of the Weet-bix Under 16 Raluve Trophy Competition at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Sigatoka Methodist started strong by scoring two tries to lead 12-0 at the break

Naitasiri Secondary managed to score twice in the second half, but both tries were not converted.

Sigatoka Methodist coach Timoci Momolevu says the four weeks of training has paid off for the girls and what they did today is all because of the hard work the girls have put in.

He says the team is grateful for the support of the school and the Province of Nadroga/Navosa in ensuring the girls are well looked after during their training.

Meanwhile, Natabua High School will play Jasper Williams High School at 4.20 this afternoon in the Raluve Under 18 final.

Earlier today in the Vodafone Super Deans Competition, RKS beat Marist Brothers High School 27-19 in the Under 14 final and RKS defeated QVS 19-12 in the Under 15 final.
