Another police complaint has been filed against FijiFirst Party Leader and Leader of the Opposition, Voreqe Bainimarama.

Feminist and human rights activist, Shamima Ali filed an official report this morning at the Totogo Police Station against Bainimarama for the statements that he made on live videos on the FijiFirst facebook page on the 1st and 4th of January 2023.

Ali alleges that Bainimarama’s statements were intended to cause public alarm, anxiety, disaffection, discontent and with malicious intent.

A police complaint was also filed against Bainimarama on the 6th of this month.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho had confirmed that the report was lodged at the Totogo Police Station.

It is believed that the first complaint was also in relation to the postings on the FijiFirst Facebook page.

We have sent questions to Police. They are yet to respond.
