Several roads in the Northern Division are closed due to flooding and people need to avoid areas that are prone to flooding and never attempt to drive through floodwaters.

Roads that are currently closed to traffic are the Bulileka Road at Vatunibale Junction, Bulileka Road at Urata/Boca Junction, main Nabouwalu Road at Qelewaqa Flat, Wailevu Labasa, Zailav Low-Level Crossing, Batiri Seaqaqa, Waidamudamu Timber Bridge, Nakoroutari Road, Labasa, Soasoa Flat, Wainikoro Road Labasa, Tabia Low-Level Crossing, Tabia Road Labasa, St Augustine Road and Bridge, Wailevu Labasa, Soisoi Road Tabia Labasa.

Based on the current analysis by the Fiji Meteorological Service, TD05F is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone and Fiji is safe from tropical cyclones for now.

However, TD05F together with the associated trough of low pressure continue to affect the country. With a flood warning still in force for low-lying and flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Qawa River and Nakawaga River, the Fiji National Disaster Management Office continues to advise people residing in these areas to be on high alert and take the necessary precautionary measures when the need arises.

People are advised to contact the Fiji Police Force on 917 or the National Fire Authority on 910 should they need assistance to move to higher ground.
