Koroi Seru who is is alleged to have kicked Javed Ali in the mouth causing his death on New Year’s Eve at a drinking party has had his charge downgraded from murder to manslaughter.
Seru appeared before Justice Waleen George this morning.
Defence attorney Tobia Ravuniwa raised a concern that a statement had been given on January 6th but it did not appear in the disclosures.
Magistrate George advised Ravuniwa to ask for a copy of the investigation diary.
Seru’s case will be called again next Friday.
