Filimoni Seru who allegedly stole a taxi last Friday has been remanded in custody by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.
He is charged with one count of vehicle theft.
The 30-year-old man allegedly stole the taxi when the driver of the taxi had stopped to buy a bottle of juice at a service station in Valelevu without allegedly locking his car.
Police say when he returned he found his car missing.
The car was later found abandoned in Tovata.
The case has been adjourned to next Wednesday.
