Intense preparations are now underway to ensure that everything is on track at the Elections Office to start the Electronic Voter Registration process on July 3rd.
1,150 voter registration venues have been identified and the Australian and NZ electoral operations experts are now in the country working with logistical team headed by Major Isoa Loanakadavu of the RFMF.
Permanent Secretary for Justice, Mere Vuniwaqa said they have already identified the voter registration clerks and training sessions will commence soon.
Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will receive the first voter registration card on July 3rd.
Voter registration will run for eight weeks at centres across the country.
About 640,000 voters are expected to be registered for the 2014 elections.
