The secret of Digicel Fiji Sevens team's winning formula has been revealed.
They created history last week after winning the Hong Kong Sevens title after a lapse of 10 years and remain favourites to win the Australia Sevens title in Adelaide this weekend.
Team Manager Jope Tuivanuavou said for the first time players are being given time, like in Hong Kong, to call their families back home on game day to take their blessings before taking the field.
He said this is the reason why players are fired up.
Tuivanuavou said Coach Iliesa tanivula has not named his run-on team for the match against France today, as he awaits a report from Team Physio on injured Waqabaca Kotobalavu and Pio Tuwai.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Sevens Coach Gordon Tietjens said other teams like Fiji, England and South Africa will have to work hard if they are to take the IRB World Sevens Series title away from them.
The second day of play at the Australia Sevens starts in the next 45 minutes.
But Fiji's next match against France will be at 3:35pm and then they take Argentina at 6:56pm in their last pool match.
