The search for the 23-year-old man who went missing while swimming in the Nawaka River on Saturday afternoon will continue this morning.
Police say the search was called off yesterday afternoon due to the adverse weather.
The man was swimming in the Nawaka river with another 30-year-old from Qina Settlement on Saturday when he was swept away by strong currents.
The incident occurred at around 4pm.
The matter was reported by the 30 year old after he managed to swim safely to the river bank but could not find the man.
More than 30 officers were involved in the search.
