The search for the man who disappeared while fishing near Makogai Island on Friday will continue today.
Police say the man was fishing in a kayak with two boys aged 7 and 10 when water started entering their kayak.
They say all three tried to swim ashore however the man started to experience some difficulties and asked the 10-year-old boy to swim ahead and get help from other villagers.
The two boys managed to reach the shore.
The matter was reported by the victim’s father.
