Schools will reopen for classes from today.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, confirms that his office was kept updated during the adverse weather condition by Divisional and District Education Offices and based on the updates received and consultation with NDMO and the Fiji Meteorological Services, the decision has been reached to re-open schools.

Radrodro says whilst they are announcing the opening of schools from today, he is urging parents and guardians to advise their children on their safety as we are still in the cyclone season and the weather may change anytime.

He has reminded teachers to play their part in providing the necessary support when students return to school.

Radrodro adds schools which were previously approved for closure in observance of Holi will do so again today and resume classes from Thursday.

He has wished all schools that will be celebrating the festival of colours which embodies the triumph of good over evil, a Happy Holi.
