“Free education is for everyone and not aimed at a particular group.”

This comment was made by Ministry of Education Director Secondary, Timoci Bure while answering a question raised by a parent during the public consultations on the education reforms at Suva Grammar School today.

A parent, Selina Kuruleca says in relation to the zoning policy, it is also the right of a parent to send their children to the school of their choice.

Director Secondary Timoci Bure says parents should also remember that some families cannot pay their children’s bus fares and school fees.

Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy was also present during the public consultation.
