School equipment and hardware supplies destroyed in Ba fire

School equipment and hardware supplies belonging to Varavu Muslim Primary School in Ba were destroyed in a fire at one of the staff quarters last night.

Police say all the equipment was kept at the vacant home.

The fire started at around 9.30 last night.

Firefighters managed to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

Investigations continue as Police and NFA try to ascertain the cause of the fire.
