Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem did a walk through with the media at the Fijian Elections Office Warehouse in Laucala Beach, on how the packing of the Pre-Poll Ballot Boxes is done with all of the security features involved.

Saneem says they have a digital tracking system where each ballot box is scanned, and they also have manual tracking of the boxes as well.

The SOE further explained that everything that is placed in the ballot box is tracked to that particular box.

Saneem says that each Pre-Poll Ballot Box contains a Pre-Poll Tamper Evident Envelope, which has a tracking form that is tracked through serial numbers, which are also manually tracked.

The SOE says for Pre-Poll they will be using Secret Envelopes, so if a ballot paper is not placed back in the Secret Envelope before being placed in the ballot box then it will be considered invalid.
