Following concerns raised regarding the use of vulgar words while performing bhajan or qawali, the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji will be undertaking consultation to establish an Artist Wing while a coordinator has been appointed.

Consultation coordinator, Ravi Narayan says youths should not follow artists who use vulgar words while performing bhajans and must refrain from learning bhajans from these people.

He says they must learn from legitimate religious leaders who are more knowledgeable and can guide people.

Narayan says in some recent events, Sabha members have seen and heard some artists using vulgar words while performing bhajans and qawali.

He says artists can be taken to task as it can be a clear indication of defamation to a particular religion and lead to criminal charges or a civil action.

He says Santan Dharm followers have had enough of artists who are using vulgar language and will not tolerate this anymore.
