SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka says they will continue to work with other opposition political parties in preparation for the 2022 General Elections.

He says cooperation between opposition political parties is very important as their collective voice ensures that the 2022 General Elections is free and fair.

Gavoka adds under the current electoral system, much is still not clear as evident during the 2014 and 2018 national elections hence the need to continue to demand clarity.

The SODELPA Leader adds that the SODELPA constitution allows for association with other parties to establish a working relationship for their mutual benefit.

He says it is not ideal to have more players under the current electoral laws and political environment.

Gavoka adds as the main opposition party in Parliament, SODELPA will contest the 2022 elections as SODELPA.

He says their brand is strong and with 20 years behind them, their roots are firmly embedded in vast areas of the community.

Gavoka adds they will be open to those that wish to merge and come under the SODELPA umbrella.
