SODELPA is beginning its 40 days of fasting today which will run till 29th August.
The fasting was launched at the Centenary Church by Reverend Wilfred Regunamada.
The party says this initiative has been endorsed by the Management Board in recognition of the mammoth task ahead and preparations are underway for the general elections.
Party Leader Viliame Gavoka says it is a spiritual battle for SODELPA. He says challenges will come their way and it is only crucial they keep their spirit, mind and heart clean as they prepare for the polls and post-election.
Gavoka says they will be sharing messages and bible readings during the 40-days fasting period.
