SODELPA and the National Federation Party are likely to file a joint petition to the Court of Disputed Returns today to challenge the processes and results of the 2018 general elections.

SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says the party is awaiting the decision of the lawyers before they move ahead.

As the deadline to file the petition expires on Sunday, NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says it is highly likely that the petition will be filed in the High Court today.

Professor Prasad says he cannot confirm whether the Fiji Labour Party and Unity Fiji will also be part of the joint petition.

When asked by Fijivillage on whether they already have  concrete evidence to dispute the election results, Professor Prasad refused to speak on the matter.
