SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka says they were pleased to work with the Education Ministry in providing assistance to more than 200 students of Wailevu West District School however he confirmed that most of the travelling expenses were paid by the party’s MPs and officials.

Gavoka says there was no duplication of assistance as they work in collaboration with the ministry and other organizations who were also giving out relief supplies after Cyclone Yasa.

He says this has been made possible through the donations towards their appeal and in partnership with Max Marketing.

Gavoka says they commend the Ministry in not delaying the opening of schools.

SODELPA MP Ro Teimumu Kepa says they are thinking of continuing to assist the students in this school in the future.
