The leader of the SDL Party Laisenia Qarase said the SDL, Fiji Labour Party, National Federation Party and United People’s Party are expected to reach common ground on a number of issues before the Constitutional Commission sits next month.
Qarase said they have held about three meetings and further discussions are expected soon.
Qarase disagreed with Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s comments that they are only a group of politicians trying to hold on to power and frightened that 18-year-olds will be allowed to vote in 2014.
