The interim Prime Minister has stressed that general elections will not be held before 2010.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama said elections will be held 15 months after all their work is complete and that needs to be understood by everyone.
He is now concerned over Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's comments that there will be further unspecified action against Fiji after the Forum Ministerial Contact Group was told that there will be no elections in March 2009.
Bainimarama also told Rudd and his Foreign Minister Stephen Smith that Fiji returned to democracy in December 2006 when the Qarase led government was taken out.
