Rosy Akbar resigns from parliament

FijiFirst Party MP, Rosy Akbar has resigned from parliament citing health reasons.

Akbar’s resignation has just been gazetted.

She continues to be a party member.

Akbar is the third FijiFirst MP to leave parliament after the 2022 general elections.

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Doctor Mahendra Reddy decided to opt out of parliament over the last few weeks.

The next FijiFirst candidate, Virendra Lal will now join parliament.
