Rokoura’s body found near Waila dredging plant

The body of the former national netball coach Unaisi Rokoura has been recovered from the Rewa River.

Police say a joint search team consisting of officers from the Fiji Police Force and Republic Of Fiji Navy recovered the body earlier today.

Police say her body was recovered near the Waila dredging plant.

Rokoura had gone missing while gathering fresh water mussels with three other women near Navuso Agriculture School on Saturday.

A 34-year-old woman was trying to cling on to Rokoura and both were nowhere to be seen.

The body of the 34-year-old woman was retrieved yesterday.
