The Fiji Roads Authority has completed roadworks on some severely deteriorated sections of roads in the greater Suva area.

FRA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kamal Prasad says roadworks on sections of Pratt Street, Selbourne Street, Hercules Street, Holland Street, Amy Street, Ono Street, and some sections of Queens Road at Namuka-i-Lau have been completed.

He says work on sections of Fulaga Street, Nasevou Street in Lami, Queens Road at Veisari, Nayau Street and Komo Street are in progress.

The next set of roads that will undergo maintenance works include Gordon Street, Solomoni Street, Lakeba Street and Nasinu Road.

Prasad says works on Nokonoko Road have been postponed to January 2021 due to contractor unavailability.

Prasad says majority of the works will be carried out at night, including curfew hours, however, some of the works will be carried out during the day.
