Serious concerns are being raised by people going to work and school using Princes Road in Suva as a road contractor was building a road hump near Tamavua Village during the peak traffic time this morning.

We received many calls from about 7am today as people told us that the traffic had extended all the way from Tamavua Village to Colo-i-Suva as there was also an accident in Cunningham.

Thousands of people going to school and work have been affected.

We have been told by a driver that it took them about 1 hour to move from Colo-i-Suva Forestry Training Centre to the Forestry Station this morning.

fijivillage News has contacted the Fiji Roads Authority on why the work is being carried out during peak traffic hours and has affected thousands of people.

They confirm that the road is open now.

Stay with us for developments.
