SODELPA MP and the paramount chief of the Burebasaga confederacy, Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa will be running for elections this year.

This has been confirmed by SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka who says the women's wing of the party approached her to reconsider her earlier stand about not running for elections this year.

He says Ro Teimumu has accepted their call and stated she will participate.

Gavoka says they will announce the news later but the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi will be representing the Rewa Province in the elections.

Earlier this year, Ro Teimumu had stated she will not run for elections and retire from politics.
