Riders drive awareness on men’s health at the Movember Bikeshow

Despite the rainy weather, the spirit of the people and the bikers remained high as the Fiji Motorcyclists Association Movember Bike Show ended on a positive note, creating greater awareness on men’s health.

Fiji Motorcyclists Association Vice President, Doctor Alipate Vakamocea emphasises the importance of early screening, noting that it is nothing to shy away from.

FMA President, Raiyaz SahuKhan says the main reason everyone gathered at the event was to raise awareness on men’s health and provide a space where men feel comfortable expressing their concerns.

He adds that events like this encourage men to open up about their health and help break the stigma that is often associated with mental health.

Meanwhile, more than 90 bikes were showcased, along with food and music for people to enjoy.

The Fiji Cancer Society and the Land Transport Authority also delivered presentations during the event.
