After securing top spot following the completion of the first round of the Vodafone Premier League, the Rewa soccer team is now out to win their 9th Punjas Battle of the Giants Tournament.

The Delta Tigers will be one of the favourites for the tournament with players such as Setareki Hughes, Simione Tamanisau, Tevita Waranivalu, Waisake Navunigasau, Kavaia Rawaqa, Anish Khem, Misaele Draunibaka and Peniame Drova in their squad.

Rewa last won the BOG title in 2017 where they beat Nadi 2-1.

The hero on that day for Rewa was Iosefo Verevou who had scored both goals.

Rewa takes on Lautoka at 6.30pm this Friday in their first pool match.

In other matches on day 1, Nadi will play Navua at 12pm, defending champions Labasa play Suva at 2pm while Ba battles Nasinu at 4pm.

The pool matches will be played from Friday to Sunday at Churchill Park while the semi-finals and final will be played next week at the same venue.
