Review of Village Guidelines is work in progress - PM
Prime Minister and the Minister for Itaukei Affairs Voreqe Bainimarama

The Prime Minister and the Minister for Itaukei Affairs Voreqe Bainimarama has confirmed that the review of Village Guidelines is work in progress.

$20,000 has been allocated in the 2021/2022 National Budget for this review.

Bainimarama highlighted this when asked by SODELPA MP Ro Filipe Tuisawau to give an update on this allocation.

Meanwhile, $1.43 million has been allocated for the Turaga-ni-Koro allowance and $428,600 for the District Representative or Mata-ni-Tikina allowance in the new budget.

Some other allocations for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs includes $125,000 for demarcation of un-surveyed Lands, $125,000 for Survey of un-surveyed Lands and $130,000 for Digital Mapping of Village Boundary.
