President of the Methodist Church in Fiji, Reverend Ili Vunisuwai

The President of the Methodist Church in Fiji, Reverend Ili Vunisuwai, has urged the new Members of Parliament to lead with God’s love at the forefront of their decision-making.

In his Christmas message in the iTaukei language, Rev Vunisuwai says when Jesus was born, he came to free the people from the harsh rules of the leaders during that time when the rich looked out for the rich and the poor had to struggle to survive.

He adds this type of leadership should not creep into the lives of our leaders as they will be the ones who will lead Fiji in the next four years.

The Methodist Church President says love is not about being respected, becoming famous, boasting about oneself or showing what they have done and expecting people to praise them for it.

Rev Vunisuwai says love is supposed to be shown by uplifting people’s lives.
