Retired Nurse, Vasemaca Gumatua urges parents to pack two lunchboxes for their children to help reduce junk eating during school recess.

Gumatua says this will help children develop healthy habits such as staying well-nourished and learn to make better food choices.

When fijivillage News questioned her about some school canteens selling junk food, the 68-year-old says they're thinking of revenue.

She says students' health must be a priority, as diabetes is no longer limited to the elderly but is now increasingly affecting the younger generation.

She urges people not to live in denial and to see a doctor to understand their health status.

The 68-year-old warns against relying on herbal remedies, saying they can worsen their condition.
