Residents of Nabitu Settlement in Sigatoka still in shock after the destruction caused by TC Harold

Residents of Nabitu Settlement in Sigatoka are still in shock after the destruction caused by Category 4 Tropical Cyclone Harold.

Speaking to Fijivillage Nabitu Priest Abhay Sharma says TC Harold brought in destruction that was never felt before by the people of Nabitu.

Sharma says they are more devastated about their farms been destroyed as they are heavily dependent on it as a source of food.

He says for the next few months, food will be a big worry for them.

Sharma says their area currently looking like a desert.

Sharma says that some families that had their houses destroyed are are now sheltering in the evacuation centre.
