Residents living in Navua and nearby areas are calling for collective efforts to tackle drainage issues in Tokotoko, Thompson Park area, Calia, Vashist Muni area, Nakaulevu and nearby areas.

Shaneel Singh of Navua who has been residing there for the past 28 years says this is one of the most concerning issues as whenever it rains heavily the drains get blocked and the area get flooded.

He says it becomes difficult for drivers to cross these Road and for students to go to school.

Singh says due to the blockages the water supply also gets disrupted as well.

The concerned resident also says this has been a continuous issue for the past few years and is calling for authorities to take better actions in addressing the issues of drainage in Navua.

We have sent questions to the Ministry of Agriculture. They are yet to respond.
