Remand prisoner escapes from St Giles Hospital

Remand prisoner escapes from St Giles Hospital
The number of remand prisoners on the run has now increased to two after 26-year-old Etonia Malumu escaped from St Giles Hospital custody this morning.

Police confirm Malumu escaped with 31-year-old Alipate Radrodro and St Giles patient Lenaitasi Ranuku at around 9.40am

However, Ranuku was recaptured by two police officers from Cunningham while Radrodro was brought back to the hospital by his parents.

Police are again warning members of the public that it is an offence to harbour escapees and people are being urged to do the right thing and turn in those on the run to authorities.

Also on the run from last Sunday evening is Iowane Benedito.
