Registered voters can no longer change allocated polling stations – Saneem
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem

The Supervisor of Elections has made it clear that registered voters can no longer change their allocated polling stations for the 2014 general elections as the application period closed on the 20th of this month.

While speaking on Straight Talk with our News Director Vijay Narayan last night, Mohammed Saneem confirmed that they will soon finalize the electoral roll.

Saneem said they are also ready for one day voting and they have created a number of polling stations at one venue.

Saneem has encouraged people to check their voter registration details and allocated polling stations now.

You can text or call 545 to do this.

Meanwhile, pre-polling begins in a number of areas from next Wednesday to September 16th.

We will give you more information on this later today.
