Reece and Bower named for Crusaders opener

Fiji born All Blacks players Sevu Reece and George Bower have been named in the Crusaders 23 member team that will face the Highlanders in the Super Rugby Aotearoa opener tomorrow.

Reece made his Super Rugby debut in 2019 against the Chiefs as a replacement for fellow Fijian Manasa Mataele which earned him a place in the All Blacks squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Reece will start on the wing while Bower is on the bench.

Other players included in the team are Will Jordan, Jack Goodhue, Bryn Hall, Richie Mo'unga, Sam Whitelock, Scott Barrett, Codie Taylor and Joe Moody.

The Crusaders will take on the Highlanders at 6.05pm tomorrow and the Blues will face the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Saturday.
