Reds break 7 years losing streak with 33-26 win over the Waratahs

Filipo Daugunu scored a try for the Reds as they ended their seven-year losing streak by defeating the Waratahs 33-26 in the Super Rugby Australia last night.

The last time the Reds won against the Waratahs was in 2013.

Queensland captain Liam Wright scored the first try of the match showing their dominance in the competition followed by Daugunu's try in the corner a few minutes later in the first half.

The Reds led the Waratahs 19-13 at the break.

Tate McDermott and Harry Wilson's try in the second half sealed the victory for the home side.

James O'Connor also played a crucial role in their win converting two important penalties in the last 5 minute of the match.

The Waratahs scored two tries from Jack Maddock and Harry Johnson-Holmes.

The Brumbies will face the Rebels at 9.15 tonight.
