The Queensland Reds are aiming to continue with their winning performance when they take on the Highlanders in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman opener tonight.

The Reds recorded a comeback win against the Brumbies in the Super Rugby Australia Final last week.

Reds co-captain Liam Wright says it is going to be important for them to come out fresh and bring the energy they had last week, and match it with the Highlanders.

Five players with links to Fiji will feature in the opening match tonight with Filipo Daugunu, Seru Uru, Moses Sorovi and Suliasi Vunivalu to play for the Reds and Jona Nareki to start for the Highlanders.

The Highlanders will play the Reds at 7.05 tonight.

In other matches, the Hurricanes will meet the Waratahs at 9.45 tonight, the Crusaders will face the Brumbies at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Rebels take on the Blues at 9.45pm tomorrow and the Western Force will host the Chiefs at 11.55pm tomorrow.
